Everyone is unique and has their own light bulb moments, on their own time. We all know the struggle of coming to terms with the fact that we don’t ‘do’ alcohol right.
It feels like it controls you more than you control it, and it’s hard to understand and even harder to leave it behind.
However you do recovery, you’ll love the connection to this story and how Jenn Kautsch came to understand that drinking too much wine wasn’t who she wanted to be. It’s just that simple.
She wanted to be sober-minded. To be more present in her self, her family, and her life. And the wine was holding her back.
You don’t have to get hung up on labels- alcoholic, alcohol-free, sober… the labels don’t matter. What matters is you recognize your relationship with alcohol doesn’t feel right, you understand it doesn’t serve you and who you want to be, and the ‘you’ behind closed doors may not match the ‘you’ you portray to the world.
When it doesn’t match, you feel like a fraud.
